Job Description

SOVAH Health - Martinsville

The Radiation Therapist is responsible for the planning of radiation therapy which includes localization of target volume, construction of blocks and immobilization devices, and the calculation of the radiation dose. They accurately deliver radiation treatment and assure correct parameters, appropriate documentation, and the maintenance of audible and visual communication during treatment.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education
Completion of ARRT approved course in Radiation Therapy. Current Certification by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist is required.

Minimum Work Experience
One year of Radiation Oncology experience preferred. Membership and participation in local, state, and professional organizations preferred.
