The Department of Radiation Oncology of the Mercy Catholic Medical Center is seeking an oncology medical physicist to join our team. Our team consists of 2 physicians, 1 dosimetrist, and 5 therapists managing 2 linacs and one HDR unit across 2 sites.
General Responsibilities: The willingness and ability to lead, teach and communicate effectively while contributing to daily clinical efficiencies must also be clearly present.
Experience: with Pinnacle, and Elekta equipment and software is
preferable. The candidate must also have significant experience in the daily operational management of physics in a multi-modality Radiation Oncology program. Candidates must possess the ability to flex between two hospital sites, drive the quality programming of hospital based radiation therapy departments and have ability to perform annual calibration and QA at both hospitals.
Requirements: The successful applicant must have a minimum of a Master’s degree and ABR certification in therapeutic radiologic physics. Experience is required for candidates in SBRT, SRS and HDR, as well as extensive clinical experience in outpatient hospital based radiation therapy departments.
